Each edition of Jazz à Vienne is a new adventure that the festival teams prepare with care, with you, our dear audience, in mind. This year, on the centenary of Miles Davis’ birth, Jazz à Vienne honors one of the most influential figures in music history. This 45th edition celebrates a visionary and daring artist whose legacy continues to deeply influence contemporary creation. Throughout the festival, the spirit of Miles Davis will accompany this anniversary edition.
Paying tribute is essential, not only to pass on the history of music, but also to understand the connections that nourish current creation. Jazz à Vienne continues its mission by offering five original creations again this year. A total of 167 concerts spread over 17 days will make up this 45th edition, nearly three-quarters of which will be free to the public. Nineteen groups will perform for the first time on the stage of the Théâtre Antique, sometimes for a single date in France, such as Jon Batiste's concert. The traditional marathon day will be split into two “Super Sundays.” The history of Jazz à Vienne continues to be written with you, alongside world-renowned artists, in the magnificent Gallo-Roman setting of the city of Vienne.

JazzUp is a 10-day intensive summer camp in complete immersion in Jazz à Vienne festival, with an original program for young French and international musicians.
Taking part in the project JazzUp is a real opportunity for young musicians to work with a new generation from all over the world, but also to connect with well-known professionals. While improving your musical skills, you will follow a strong program which will give you the possibility to play on stage in front of an informed public and to explore many aspects of the world of jazz.

With six weeks to go before the full announcement of its 2026 program, Jazz à Vienne lifts the veil on an exceptional evening dedicated to New Orleans!
The gifted pianist, singer, and composer Jon Batiste joins the Jazz à Vienne lineup for his first and only appearance at a festival in France. To open the show, we will discover the singer Big Freedia, world reference of hip-hop genre called bounce music, in a brand-new creation accompanied by a gospel choir.
