The Jazz à Vienne festival was created in 1981 by Jean-Paul Boutellier, with help from Pierre Domeyne and Jean Gueffier and a handful of volunteers, some of whom are still contributors today.

Part-time technicians and seasonal workers

Every year, Jazz à Vienne employs over 120 seasonal workers and part-time technicians (‘intermittents du spectacle’)

Over 200 volunteers

Teams of volunteers have helped bring the festival to life every year since it was created. Welcoming visitors, checking tickets, providing information, seating spectators... Over 200 volunteers fully embark on the adventure by donating their time and contributing to the festival’s operations.
