TREK

Drawing inspiration from the worlds of Christian Scott, Kneebody, and Nate Smith’s Kinfolk project, TREK crafts a dense, narrative-driven jazz that blends progressive rock, 1960s spiritual jazz, and hip-hop from the 1990s to the present. Using synthesizers and a variety of effects, the quintet paints vast, contrasting landscapes and navigates fractured spaces of improvisation, allowing them to carry their name as a manifesto: a march forward, without a fixed itinerary.
