Luizga Electric Microbigband

Next stop, Brazil, with Luizga and his guitar and nomadic groove. Behind this radiant name is Luiz Gabriel Lopes, a figure of the current Brazilian scene, but also a travelling musician who stayed with the indigenous community Huni Kuin and brought back a reggae full of ancestral spirituality. Modern successor of the música popular brasileira, he develops a warm pop, blending folk, tropical rhythms and an elegant world music. For more than 10 years, he has been performing all around the world, offering his luminous melodies. Arising from a French-Brazilian encounter, his album Yemamaya combines contemporary groove and saudade, created with guitars, synths, trumpets and percussion instruments. For the first time at Jazz à Vienne, Luizga Electric Microbigband promises a musical getaway: sunny, danceable and deeply spirited.
