“Miles en musique”

To mark the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’s birth and the 45th edition of the Jazz à Vienne festival, the Musée d’Histoire de Vienne – église Saint-Pierre will host the exhibition “Miles Davis, 100 ans d'influence” from June 25 to July 11, 2026, from 2 pm to 7 pm. A major figure in the festival’s history and an absolute legend of jazz, Miles Davis will be celebrated through an immersive and evocative journey designed to explore his body of work and his era.

The exhibition features a section titled “Miles en musique”. Every day at 2 pm, a guest speaker will invite the audience to immerse themselves in the artist’s musical world.

On 11th of July, Marjolaine Portier-Kaltenbach presents a final concert series dedicated to Miles: “Galaxie Miles Influence”!

Born with headphones on, raised on Bach and Erroll Garner, Marjolaine Portier-Kaltenbach—a Parisian with a penchant for Berlin—has a Franco-German educational background: a master’s degree in German studies from the Sorbonne and Freie Universität (Berlin), followed by a master’s degree from the Institut français de presse (Panthéon Assas).

For her, music comes first and foremost. For the past ten years, wherever she’s been, she’s been hitting the capital’s jazz clubs until dawn. After stints at Arte and TSF Jazz, she cut her teeth at France Musique by assisting most of the producers across all programs before taking to the airwaves with her own shows. Since September 2023, Monday through Thursday, she has been hosting “Club Jazzafip” on FIP.
