Listening session with Emmanuelle Legros
“Miles en musique”
To mark the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’s birth and the 45th edition of the Jazz à Vienne festival, the Musée d’Histoire de Vienne – église Saint-Pierre will host the exhibition “Miles Davis, 100 ans d'influence” from June 25 to July 11, 2026, from 2 pm to 7 pm. A major figure in the festival’s history and an absolute legend of jazz, Miles Davis will be celebrated through an immersive and evocative journey designed to explore his body of work and his era.
The exhibition features a section titled “Miles en musique”. Every day at 2 pm, a guest speaker will invite the audience to immerse themselves in the artist’s musical world.
On 5th of July, Emmanuelle Legros traces the evolution of Miles’s sound in a performance dedicated to his work!
Emmanuelle Legros is a musician from Lyon. A jazz trumpeter, she cut her teeth on stages throughout the region. She is now the leader of the Tatanka trio. This trumpeter has plenty of surprises in store, as she has also been seen singing or playing the trombone in Cirque Plume’s show “Tempus Fugit”, performing body percussion with the Very Big Experimental Toubifri Orchestra, and composing alongside singer Loïc Lantoine. She joined the Collectif Petit Travers in 2017 for the creation of “Dehors” with Juliette Hulot, for which she composed the music.
