Jéroboam
Jéroboam
Jéroboam promises an evening on the theme of the glowing groove: eleven musicians on stage, a collective energy and a sound directly connected to the golden era of disco-funk and boogie, in the 70s and 80s. Also known as Echoes Of, a major figure of the Parisian funk scene, the band already caused a sensation with its funk opera, Echoes of Prince. After performing with Howard Johnson and Junior Giscombe, and, more importantly, after having accompanied the cult orchestra Kyoto Jazz Massive as Echoes Of A New Dawn Orchestra, the band now focuses on his own compositions, between thunderous bass, burning brass and vintage keyboards. Several titles were already released on Space Grapes Records, Danilo Plessow’s (MCDE) label, but it will present its first album, being launched this summer under Favorite Recordings, at Vienne. A warm and elegant sound which radiates funk. It is impossible to still: you feel like dancing. So let’s groove!
