Jazz à Vienne Radio with Marjolaine Portier-Kaltenbach

Co-hosted by Marc Maret (former music programming director at FIP radio) and expert guests, the shows are broadcast live on our website and on Crock Radio, and are then available as podcasts on all streaming platforms.

Born with headphones on, raised on Bach and Erroll Garner, Marjolaine Portier-Kaltenbach—a Parisian now based in Berlin—has a Franco-German educational background: a master’s degree in German studies from the Sorbonne and Freie Universität (Berlin), followed by a master’s degree from the Institut français de presse (Panthéon Assas).

For her, music comes first and foremost. For the past ten years, wherever she’s been, she’s been hitting the capital’s jazz clubs until dawn. After stints at Arte and TSF Jazz, she cut her teeth at France Musique by assisting most of the producers across all programs before taking to the airwaves with her own shows. Since September 2023, Monday through Thursday, she has been hosting “Club Jazzafip” on FIP.
