Jazz à Vienne Radio on Crock Radio

Monday through Saturday from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm on the scène du Kiosque at Cybèle, tune in to Jazz à Vienne radio alongside the artists featured in the lineup! Co-hosted by Marc Maret (former music programming director at FIP radio) and expert guests, the shows are broadcast live on our website and on Crock Radio, and are then available as podcasts on all streaming platforms.

On July 1, tune in to hear Bintou Simporé (Radio Sono Mondiale) on the Jazz à Vienne radio show!

A legend at Radio Nova, Bintou Simporé first went on the air in 1987 at the age of 27. It wasn’t for lack of curiosity about the wider world—quite the opposite, in fact… From 1992 to 2023, she hosted the cult show “Néo Géo” (Sundays at 6 p.m.), a window wide open to all the music of the world (the “sono mondiale” so dear to Jean-François Bizot, the station’s founder). She welcomed remarkable guests such as drummer Tony Allen, accordionist and clarinetist Vincent Peirani, and Senegalese singer Julia Sarr.

She also hosted the show “Le Grand Mix” on Nova and the cultural television program “Cargo” on RFO for a time before launching her own web radio station, Radio Sono Mondiale—bringing her journey full circle.
