Eme·Eme·Project

Eme·Eme·Project is scheduled to play as part of the Focus Espagne initiative: it gathers musicians from the current jazz and flamenco worlds. “Eme·Eme” (to be pronounced “M. M.” in Spanish) are the initials of the Madrid native flautist Marta Mansilla, a former student of Jorge Pardo. After having accompanied artists from different backgrounds, she managed to get away from jazz to offer, with this quintet, a music full of urban sounds and culture: hip-hop, electro and soul. The band will have a special guest: the fascinating singer At. One (Antonio Tomás Sepúlveda). Their second album “M. M.”, as in Mutatis Mutandis (literally “with things changed that should be changed”), confirms an intimate change and a collective history, spreading enthusiastically a music perfect for live shows and personal compositions of the flautist, who also wrote the lyrics.

Line-up :

  • Marta Mansilla Blanco (flute, vocals)
  • Antonio Tomás Sepúlveda (vocals)
  • David Sancho Mangas (piano, keyboards, synthesizers)
  • Jesús Caparrós Caballero (bass)
  • Rodrigo Ballesteros Felipe (drums)
