Mingus Revisited

The Mingus Big Band, to which Alex Terrier belongs, has been magnifying Charles Mingus (1922–1979) incredible musical legacy for the past 35 years. In true jazz style, this remarkable alto saxophonist's heart is torn between Paris, his city of birth, and New York, his adoptive city. At Le Club, pianist Cédric Hanriot, bass player Bertrand Beruard and drummer Antonin Violot will be helping him leaf through the grand catalogue of Charles' genius compositions. In accordance with his last wishes, Sue, Mingus' widow, spread his ashes at the source of the Ganges. It's to the sources of his music that Alex Terrier will return in Le Club's intimate setting and we cannot wait to rediscover the master's best themes through versions that blend jazz and hip-hop.
