In the wake of SpiriTuaL HeaLinG: Bwa KaYimaN FreeDoM SuiTe, Jowee Omicil's enchanting album and one of 2024's biggest releases in free and creative music, it's clear that the multi-instrumentalist (he plays the soprano and alto saxophones, the flute, piccolo, clarinet — he can breathe magic into any instrument) will turn Le Club into a gracious place of ceremony in which to commemorate the memory of all his great ancestors. He namely dedicated his album to Ornette Coleman, but the spirits of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pharoah Sanders and Sonny Rollins have taken up residence in his music too. Where better then than the intimate setting of a club at around midnight to enter into communi(cati)on with these benevolent ghosts?

Line-up :

  • Jowee Omicil (sax, clarinet, flute, piano)
  • Jendha Manga (bass)
  • Franck Mantegari (drums)
  • Yoann Danier (drums)
