April 30 marks Jazz Day, created in 2011 by the legendary Herbie Hancock and UNESCO to highlight the role of jazz as a form of free expression that has contributed to equality and peace.

For 13 years, Jazz à Vienne has coordinated this event in the region. To celebrate this day, many artists take part in the festivities with a program that combines artistic and cultural disciplines. Bars, museums, concert halls, cinemas... all these venues host musical projects from the region. The goal? To raise public awareness of jazz.

Check out all the events taking place on 30 April in Lyon, Vienne, Saint-Étienne, Mâcon, Bourgoin-Jallieu and the surrounding area, as part of International Jazz Day!
