Live House Collective by Émile Londonien & Astels
Live House Collective
To bring the 45th edition of Jazz à Vienne to a spectacular close on the Kiosque stage at Cybèle, come dance until the wee hours of the night with Live House Collective by Émile Londonien & Astels!
The Strasbourg-based trio Émile Londonien is at the forefront of a new generation of jazz, blending electronic music, hip-hop, and broken beat. They pioneered the “House Party” concept at festivals like Worldwild and the Montreux Jazz Festival, with the ambition of bringing a resolutely contemporary energy to the jazz scene. In 2025, during a joint tour, they met Astels, a pop-funk project led by singer Noa Milee and DJ-producer THEOS, a figure in the new house scene who has shared the stage with pioneers like Kerri Chandler. Very quickly, an obvious chemistry emerged, driven by shared influences and a common ambition: to revive house music in a live, improvised, and organic format. From this dynamic emerged the “Live House Collective” concept, a joint project between the two live house music collectives: three hours of improvised performance in the middle of the audience, without machines, in the spirit of a DJ set and accompanied by dancers. The collective aims to develop the concept in France in the vein of the iconic projects that have shaped the history of this music.
