Bar & restaurant offer
Jazz à Vienne offers an enhanced festival experience with a range of food and drink that reflects the festival’s philosophy and values. The menu, crafted with a focus on quality and authenticity, can be enjoyed both in the Théâtre Antique and in Cybèle’s open-air food court. Every year, new local flavours are on offer, as part of a zero-waste initiative: jarfuls of Cybèle, beers from the Lyon region, wines from the Côtes du Rhône…
Once again this year, discover the new jar-based recipes created especially for Jazz à Vienne. To put together the menu that will be served at the Cybèle dining area, students from the Lycée Hôtelier Bellerive of the Institution Robin in Vienne have devised recipes tailored to reusable glass jars. Eight savoury recipes, three-quarters of which are vegetarian, showcasing seasonal produce and the expertise of the hotel school’s students, are waiting to be discovered this summer.
Visitors will be able to enjoy fresh chips made from potatoes grown by the Basset brothers’ Vergers de Planèze farm in Tupin-et-Semons. The growing location and potato variety have been specially selected for the festival. The Viennese hot dog, as well as the croque-monsieur (new for 2026), have been specially designed for the festival, using exclusively local suppliers. Local sauces, ketchup and Rigotte cream (made from the famous Condrieu goat’s cheese), accompany the hot dog and fresh chips. A selection of snacks made from 100% local produce can be enjoyed throughout the festival.
Histoires de Glaces, an artisan ice cream maker established in 2003 and located less than 15 km from the Théâtre Antique, offers a wide variety of ice cream and sorbet flavours at all hours of the day and night. Peaches and apricots from the Drôme, pears from Savoie, and pralines from the Maison de la Praline in Roanne, to name but a few, are used in the creation of products that showcase French artisanal ice-cream-making expertise. And once again this year, discover the exclusive limited-edition flavour Jazz à Vienne.
In its commitment to promoting local expertise, Jazz à Vienne is proud to have renewed its partnership with Ninkasi, a brewery established in 1997. Their shared values and unwavering dedication to service enhance the festival experience that is so dear to both organisations, and no fewer than six of their beers are available at the Cybèle bar!
A wine-growing region, the area around Vienne is home to the two most prestigious appellations in the Rhône Valley: Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu. In collaboration with Inter Rhône, which brings together the professional organisations representing the wine-growing and wine-trading sectors in the Rhône Valley, festival-goers will be able to taste these local grands crus, as well as discover the region’s other AOCs. Cybèle’s wine bar offers an extensive range of the best wines from the Rhône Valley, whilst the wine bar at the Théâtre Antique offers a more limited selection of Côtes du Rhône wines.
With a desire to offer the very best products whilst supporting local businesses, Jazz à Vienne has teamed up with Les Brasseurs Savoyards to provide 100% organic, craft soft drinks. In a bid to reduce the festival’s environmental impact, the organisers have encouraged their suppliers to find innovative packaging solutions for soft drinks. For example, lemonade and iced tea are packaged in 30-litre kegs so they can be served on tap. The festival is also working in collaboration with Nicolas and Jérôme Ogier, farmers and producers in Seyssuel, to offer 100% local fruit juices made from fruit sourced from various villages around Vienne. Finally, Jazz à Vienne offers a wide selection of syrups from Maison Bigallet. Founded in 1872 in Lyon and now based in Virieu-sur-Bourbre, Maison Bigallet is certified fair trade, socially responsible and sustainable. The company produces a range of organic, hand-brewed syrups using fruit sourced from a local supply chain.
Since 2022, the festival has taken the bold step of phasing out plastic water bottles, both for sale to the public and for use by artists and staff. During a typical festival, this initiative prevents the use of over 35,000 plastic bottles. To fulfil this eco-friendly commitment, water fountains have been installed at the Théâtre Antique and Cybèle, offering festival-goers free access to water.
As part of its efforts to reduce waste, Jazz à Vienne has been reviewing the packaging used in its bars and catering facilities. In the catering area, the sandwich wrappers are made from 100% unbleached cellulose. After use, it is collected in the biodegradable waste bins provided, to be composted. The same applies to ice cream pots, ice cream spoons and paper napkins. The rest of the containers provided by the festival are entirely reusable: glass jars, stainless steel spoons, and boards for cheese platters and shared portions of chips. In 2024, Jazz à Vienne broke new ground by launching a partnership with Revera. For the first time, returnable wine bottles were used by winegrowers and served in the reception areas as well as at the Cybèle bar. In 2025, the festival quadrupled the number of estates taking part in this initiative, which forms part of a zero-waste, local and sustainable approach. In 2025, the festival opted for non-returnable, carbon-neutral cups. Removing the deposit on this main container has helped achieve a higher return rate.
This year, for the very first time, Jazz à Vienne and Rebooteille are joining forces in a sustainable, local and zero-waste initiative to offer, in collaboration with Domaine Pichon, a brand-new range of returnable wine bottles featuring a selection of three vintages: a 2022 Condrieu and two 2022 Saint-Josephs.
To mark the 43rd edition of the festival, 1,200 returnable wine bottles will be served in the hospitality areas and at the Cybèle wine bar, to be reused afterwards: an unprecedented initiative in France for a festival of this scale! This high-impact, short-supply-chain initiative will save up to 79% in greenhouse gas emissions, 76% in energy and 51% in water compared to traditional recycling!
At the end of the festival, the collected bottles will be washed and reconditioned within 100 km, then delivered to Rebooteille’s local partner winemakers to be reused. The entire process is organised with zero-waste logistics, using no cardboard, thanks to the delivery of full bottles in crates and the collection of empty bottles in the same crates.
At Cybèle, you’ll be seated on furniture specially crafted for the festival by students from the vocational courses at the Lycée Polyvalent Galilée in Vienne. Every year, the festival and the school collaborate on an educational project centred on the creation of furniture and objects that are made available throughout the duration of Jazz à Vienne. The Cybèle food court will therefore be equipped with tables, benches and high tables made by the metalwork, carpentry and machining departments. Like the other initiatives undertaken by the Jazz à Vienne teams, this project promotes the inclusion of local stakeholders and showcases their skills. All the furniture on display will be on sale during the festival, and the proceeds will be donated to the school to fund future projects.
