Le Faux-Orchestre

Two musicians sit back-to-back: one is real, the other a fake. On one side, a musician with his stringed instrument, the Ronroco. On the other, a percussionist flanked by a drum, a cymbal, and musical spoons on his knees. One of the two is an imposter, a fake version of the other… In a rotating setup offering a view of over 180°, the two alter egos attempt an impossible encounter. They follow each other, dodge, and tease one another, finally losing themselves in a circular dance and merging into one another. Between original and copy, reality and illusion, the fake orchestra plays out, a fake milonga with real Russian spoons.
