The more the years pass, the more its name looks like one of those antiphrasis we affectionately use to describe the artists who are out of the ordinary. As this producer’s “Best Kept Secret” has worked in the shadows for a long time to better shine a light on personalities as prestigious as Snoop Dogg, will.i.am or the French artist Booba, his reputation gives him access today to the greatest stages, like with this second concert at Jazz à Vienne. His very recent EP, See Us Rise, tells this ascent and a life which inspired him some pieces with a universal significance. In his music, all his experiences, even the most intimate ones, resonate through a colourful, dancing and festive mix, at the crossroad of urban sounds and afrobeat. They draw the portrait of a new reference of the modern African music.
