Livestream concert - 11th of July from 12.30pm to 2.00am- 12 €

The second original production of the night will be dedicated to the late singer and composer Rachid Taha, whose remarkable 15-album career – with the French band Carte de Séjour and as a solo artist – made him one of the most important artists of the late 20th century to have been politically engaged. For this special night, the so-called Armée Mexicaine, i.e. the last musicians to have accompanied him on stage, will perform songs from Taha’s posthumous album ‘Je suis africain’ alongside prestigious guests: the Algerian singer Amel Zen, who has been a leading figure in the recent pro-democratic movement, the eternal militant, French songwriter Miossec – who was Rachid Taha’s best friend and alter ego from Brittany –, the Cameroonian saxophonist Yebga Likoba, who played with Sixun and Gil Scott-Heron, the poet and multi-instrumentalist Julien Jacob, the maestro of Raï music 2.0 Sofiane Saidi, also leader of the band Mazalda, the founder of Bab El West and Berber griot Habib Farroukh, and Hamza Bencherif, guitarist in that same band.

Line-up Hakim Hamadouche (v, mandoluth), Rodolphe Burger (guest), Amel Zen (guest), Julien Jacob (v, guest), Yebga Likoba (guest), Sofiane Saidi (guest), Habib Farroukh (guest), Hamza Bencherif (guest), Kenzi Bourras (k), Yan Péchin (g), Idriss Badarou (b), Franck Mantegari (dms).
