Blind from birth, Raul Midón has been struggling to do what he enjoys most: live performances. A platform where he lets himself go completely, grateful for the opportunity to live off his passion. Raul Midón is an outstanding vocalist and guitarist, and a fingerpicking effortless enthusiast. Often compared to Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau or Seal, he is clearly moving onwards and upwards. His last two albums, ‘Bad Ass & Blind’ and ‘If You Really Want’, both earned him a GRAMMY® nomination for best jazz vocal album. Working closely with Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder, he has also ventured into film, contributing to Spike Lee's soundtracks. With his latest album ‘The Mirror’, Midón breaks new ground, notably with two solo spoken word pieces (If I Could See and One Day Without War), boding well for his concert at the Roman Theatre.
